Christmas Activities

We have been busy enjoying the Christmas season! Last Saturday was our ward party, which Jake was in charge of since he's the activities chair. We stole the idea from our last ward, and did a brunch instead of a dinner. It was great! We had fruit, pastries and breads. Not cooking was definitely the way to go! For the program, the Copper Hills Madrigals sang. Another good choice- they had a great program without any planning/ organizing from us! And to top it all off, we had a special visitor. You guessed it, Santa Claus! He was a big success, even if some of the older kids figured out that he wasn't a real Santa because he only had coverings over his shoes, instead of real black boots. Dallin loved seeing Santa. He was not afraid at all, and even went back a second time to sit on his lap. Stranger? Not if he's giving out candy!

We also braved the cold and the crowds that night to visit Temple Square to see the lights. I must say, Dallin and I braved it better than Jake! He said if he's going to be outside in the winter, he'd much rather be snowboarding! Me, too. Sigh.
We're lucky to have such a great ward, such great families, and great friends (especially those of you that post on my blog)! Merry Christmas!

Let the fun begin! This is really when the holiday's start to get so much fun - when Dallin "gets it." It looks like you guys are haveing a blast. I agree with Jake, the slopes are definitely the place to be. It is so expensive that I usually only go once, maybe twice, a year. Tomorrow would be a great day! Merry Christmas!

Love the picture of Dallin with Santa. He's not shy at all! Walmart stickers on his shirt, hehehe.

We haven't made it to see the lights this year. Love the lights, can't handle the cold.
